Village of Tully December 1, 2010: Regular Meeting There was a regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Tully on Wednesday, December 1, 2010 at 7:00pm in the Municipal Building.
Pledge of Allegiance/Call to Order Mayor Greenwood led the Pledge of Allegiance and called the meeting to order. The Mayor appointed William Coffin to fulfill the remainder of Kathryn Vernay’s term as trustee, 2014. Upon motion of Trustee Flaherty, 2nd by Trustee Poellot, it was unanimous to allow the secretary to post the minutes of the meetings without Board review and acceptance. Upon motion of Trustee Poellot, 2nd by Trustee Flaherty, it was unanimous to approve the treasurer’s transfers. Upon motion of Trustee Poellot, 2nd by Trustee Coffin, it was unanimous to accept the Treasurer’s report subject to audit. The report will be on file in the Village Office. Upon motion of Trustee Poellot, 2nd by Trustee Flaherty it was unanimous to schedule payroll for December 24, 2010. Upon motion of Trustee Coffin, 2nd by Trustee Poellot, it was unanimous to pay CYC vouchers subject to the Mayor’s authorization. Public Comment: None Community Christmas tree lighting: The Mayor wishes to express her thanks to Dick Potter (tree), Dale Wilson (transport and set up of the tree), George Hand (for transporting Santa and Mrs. Claus in such a grand style), the Masons (for hosting the ceremony), the Tully Fire Department (for their assistance and the fire truck escort) and the Tully Council for the Arts (Carolers). The Mayor and the Board truly appreciate the community’s joint efforts. Counsel: No report DPW Harold reported on the sale of the F-700 dump truck. The DPW has concerns regarding the elevation and the ADA dots for the sidewalks at the new fire house. Harold and Ralph will review the site plan and consult with the Fire District. Code Enforcement Due to the volume of rainfall in the last 24 hours, Ralph visited various sites in the Village and reported that all drainage appears to be keeping up with the volume. Engineer: No Report Old Business: None New Business: Upon motion of Trustee Poellot, 2nd by Trustee Flaherty it was unanimous to appoint Ruth Van Buskirk as Records Management Officer. The Mayor appointed Joseph Moore to fulfill the remainder of William Coffin’s term as ZBA member. The term expires in 2014. Audit Bills: Upon motion by Trustee Poellot, 2nd by Trustee Flaherty it was unanimous to review and authorize the accountant to pay the bills.
